Hey try,

I have it done here. Was hoping to hear a bit about the track conditions but nothing so far that is reliable. We had a TON of rain here overnight and this morning but I am hoping that things are dry and fast for this evening (calling for more rain!)

I'll either have them posted or send them to you.

cheers

OK.................

Here goes.............

As it is 3:30 pm on Sat and I haven't a clue where the tote will fall tonight (or the track conditions after all that rain)
IF my expected "chalk" turns out to be good value - don't be afraid to hit her!

Race2: 2 horses race :
Fulfilled Dreams/G Spring.
#3 Fulfilled will be my main EXPECTED choice. WPS
#6 G-Spring will be close by
#4 Oaklea Hickory is a good bet for 3rd.

MAybe a 3-6-4 Exotic. for starters. (Creative wheel if you prefer)

**IF somehow G-Spring goes off at 4-1+ - she'll see some play too.

Race3: AllStarBlueJean #4 WPS

Have to look at Admirals Express#4 for 2nd
Exquisite Art #1 third and/or Yulestar N
4/1,2,7

Race5: Tough one**** Mystical Ideal WPS
EXPECT Travelin Man to be chalk here. He is my most likely winner. Odds will dictate where she fits
I believe that "#4 Mystical Ideal could be an upset play at high odds.
#2 Durin Hanover could vie for a top spot.

Race 8: Carrland Buddy #3 WPS

Contessa JoAustin #6 will be looking to finish high
...and a whole HOSt of others!!!!!
#5 Incredible Cole is another that is strong
#8 Ryan Hall
#9 GrandSlam Hall

Hoping my TOP pick can do the job and the exotics....well there SHOULD be good value as it is a real tossup.

3/5,6,8 Ex. for me.

Race9: Supermatturel #5 WPS
We go a long way back

Star Bonus A #3 has disappointed me in the past but is a strong contender here
HeWillbeaStar #1 should also be in the mix.

I might look to a 5-3-1 Tri box
5/3,1,2 ex.

Race 10: Dreamfair Vogel #3 WPS
Waples on a horse that is real comfortable in this class. He has met and beat this crew before. Just need a good run.

Corona Garande #1 will be tough especially with the inside trip
#2 Hollywood Sam is ALWAYS a threat.!
3-1-2 tri box for me.
3/1,2,6 exactor.
Should be a great race.

Good luck as usual. Hope we get some good drives tonight and NO BREAKS !!!!!

No interference?
Coming around the final turn, did anyone else see CC hold out his left arm straight to signal being cut off??? And not even an inquiry. That was "Camystic" pulling out and cutting both dreamfair & corona. Up until that point we had them aligning 3/2/1
We need referees in this sport so we know who to throw beer cans at

I was talking with a trusted source from Mohawk last night after the races were over. I brought up the "transition" concept that I posted here last race day and I thought you might be interested in some of what was discussed.
In his opinion, this is the toughest time to "cap" these races. The horses and drivers have spent the whole summer running at Woodbine and now are making the jump to a different track that favours "closers". The problem though is that this track doesn't "firm up" for 8-10 weeks AFTER the jump. ...hence the reason that I kept mentioning that "engine" horses were taking some races and closers were struggling. Last night was pretty much a closers delight. It LOOKS like the surface is hardening - through usage (tamping down of the surface) and colder temps. We also talked about the sudden drop in air temps as of late and the role that it will play. Here in Ontario, we go from air temps of 80 degrees to those of 40 in a matter of weeks. The horses DO feel this and like people, some are able to deal and some are not. We can often look to closers now as softer front end fractions come into play and "front running" horses can have a tough time with cold, windy conditions.
I mentioned that I knew certain trainers had horses "ready" for this time of year and he also confirmed this. Some of his horses will "layoff" the winter racing while others are "coming into form" and love the winter schedule.
Every so often I get to have a good talk with some reliable horse people here and it always helps give me that extra "angle".............now let's hope that it translates into more WINNERS!
